EACEA Grant IMMA project ReLOG – Regional and local governance: cooperation, associative forms and common functions for improving local public management Proponent (Lead partner): ERVET Regional Development Agency of Emilia Romagna Region (I) Funding programme: Central Europe, priority 4 – Enhancing competitiveness and attractiveness of cities and regions. Content: The project deals with associative forms among small local authorities. It aims at improving the operational capability of small local authorities through the testing of a shared model of horizontal associative governance.
iSMART CITIES Proponent (Lead partner): Polytechnic of Milan Funding programme: ICT PSP fourth call for proposals 2010 - Pilot Type B - Theme 4: Open innovation for future Internet enabled services in "smart" cities Content: The project deals with the promotion of ICT in public service delivery inside cities. It intends to develop new ways of interaction via internet between providers, public authorities and citizens/users. The ENTO participation to the project becomes concrete promoting and disseminating the project results, exploiting the links built within the network. In particular, ENTO participates to Work Package 6 “Dissemination and Final Workshop”, thus promoting the project results through seminars and conferences arranged on its own, even inviting important project participants, or by other entities, promoting the project and its results through its own Website and newsletter and, potentially, publications. Transfer of Innovations in Methodologies for European Officials: Follow Up of a Joint Learning Path Proponent (Lead partner): Institute for Local Administration Prague Funding programme: Lifelong Learning Programme - Leonardo da Vinci programme - Multilateral Projects/Transfer of Innovation Content: Institute for Local Administration Prague currently participates at the development of the project “Identifying and Validating the Competencies of European Officials – The Road to a Joint Training”, which was implemented in the years 2005-2007. Continuation of the project bears the title ”Transfer of Innovations in Methodologies for European Officials: Follow Up of a Joint Learning Path” and is realised within the Lifelong Learning Programme, specifically in the Leonardo da Vinci programme, where it belongs under the section of Multilateral Projects/Transfer of Innovation. The Institute is the submitter and co-ordinator of the project for the entire project consortium to which Instituto National de Administraçao from Portugal, the Italian Scuola Superiore dell’Amministrazione dellInterno and the Institute of Public Administration from Bulgaria belong. REPORT ON SURVEY “Study of the current state of training for local and regional authorities in the Council of Europe member of states”. The goal was to have a clear picture of major trends of training opportunities for personnel of local and regional authorities, to analyze the role of key stakeholders in training on the country level, to observe country profiles in training, to make recommendations on how to improve standards for training across European nations.
The project "Transcaucasian cooperation: training for Local and Regional Authorities" with the financial contribution of the Government of Italy. Training of the selected group of trainers from Caucasian countries - Armenia, Aserbijan, Georgia, Russia and Turkey is one of the practical output of the project. Training seminars were organised in Alanya, Turkey ( June, 2005), Yerevan, Armenia ( October, 2005) and Gaziantep, Turkey ( April, 2007). The report on the results of the project and ENTO suggestions on the further work in Caucasian countries are being developed.
